The North Country Hospital Rehab Department will be hosting a FREE fall prevention education event at the NCH Wellness Center on Crawford Rd in Newport.

NCH Physical Therapists will present information on why people fall, how people keep, and lose their balance, ways to prevent falls along with screening tools to educate participants on what their fall risk is and what they can do to avoid falls. This event is in conjunction with the State of Vermont’s “Stay Steady Vermont” fall prevention awareness day which is held the first day of Fall each year, and consists of many events all over the state.

This is a FREE event, but we do ask that you reserve a spot by calling the Wellness Center at 334-5566.
