Join us Tuesday, September 12th at 6 pm at the Brookfield Old Town Hall for US Electoral College discussion with Professor Kinvin Wroth and the Brookfield Community Partnership’s annual silent auction. Professor Emeritus Wroth, an expert on the US Electoral College system, will lead us in a lively discussion and exploration into this complicated process, established by the Founding Fathers of the United States, which plays such a large role in the 2016 US Presidential Election.
This free-to-all event begins at 6 pm with “grazing appetizers” and the opening of our always-popular annual silent auction, replete with treats and treasures from area artisans, farmers, craft-folks and residents. This event is BYOB and is generously sponsored through a grant from Ben and Jerry’s Foundation. Professor Wroth will begin his comments around 7 pm, and the silent auction will remain open throughout the evening and through our next event, our Third Annual Souper Supper fundraiser with the Randolph Area Food Bank.
Following the 146th Annual Tunbridge World’s Fair conclusion, join us at 6 pm on Sunday, September 17th, for our annual Souper Supper fundraiser with the Randolph Area Food Bank. The event will feature hand-crafted ceramic bowls, soups and breads from seven area restaurants, and home-made desserts.
The early start time will accommodate those attending other events in the area later that evening – enjoy a hearty harvest soups and bread dinner with dessert before heading out!
The BCP Annual Silent Auction will be open throughout the Souper Supper event and will close at 8 pm that evening.
This event is sponsored by the Frankenburg Agency of Randolph and will benefit both the Randolph Area Food Shelf and the Brookfield Community Partnership.
For a $25 donation, you'll receive your choice of beautiful glazed pottery soup bowl, your choice of three ladles of soups, bread, and home-made dessert. For just $10, you may sample three soups in a paper bowl, with bread and dessert. Purchase extra pottery soup bowls for $15, and extra dessert for $2.50. There'll even be take-home soup for $5/pint and $10/quart.
And we'll raffle off one beautiful large pottery bowl, perfect for soup or salad serving.
As always, we thank The Frankenburg Agency of Randolph for serving as our lead sponsor for the entire 2017 series of events at the Brookfield Old Town Hall.
