Tonight (9/6) at Arts Riot: Join the studio audience for a free old school live radio show as Julia Caesar and Kirsti Blow perform, and be introduced to the new Tuned In music collective. Rocket Shop is Big Heavy World's local music radio hour, broadcasting every Wednesday from 8-9pm on 105.9FM The Radiator, streaming at bigheavyworld.com and in the iTunes 'eclectic' radio section. The show usually broadcasts from Big Heavy World/Radiator headquarters in the SEABA Center next door to Arts Riot, but this time around our guest musicians will share the Arts Riot stage next door at 400 Pine Street (Burlington) and everyone is invited to join the audience of this old-time broadcasting experience! Catch up with podcasts of prior episodes in iTunes or at bigheavyworld.com/rocketshop! The show is free, handicapped accessible and all-ages. Doors at 7pm, music at 7:45pm. The event is made possible with support from the BCA Community Fund and is a Vermont Arts 2017 performance.

Julia Caesar: Growing from radical roots, Julia Caesar aims to reflect the light and the dark of the world around them. Weaving harmonies through gentle wandering melodies, heavy abstraction and explosive optimism, they stir up what might be trying to hide. Combining the talents of Liz Stafford (guitar and vocals), Katy Hellman (bass and vocals), Megan Rice (guitar and vocals) and Steven Lebel (drums and synthesizer), Julia Caesar is sure to make the mind bend and the body move.

Kirsti Blow: Kirsti Blow is a 20-year-old singer-songwriter hailing from upstate New York. A junior Public Communication major at UVM, she incorporates folk elements in tuneful acoustic songs with soul-bearing lyrics and rippling melodies. Her latest single, "Free," is available on SoundCloud.
