Good morning,
Just a quick reminder that the City of South Burlington's Fall Invasive Plant Removal Day is this Saturday, September 9th. It will run from 9 am - 12 pm, at City Center Park in South Burlington. There will be some training, but this event will be solely dedicated to removal of buckthorn, bush honeysuckle, and multiflora rose that is found at the park. We are calling for all volunteers, so your experience level does not matter. The park can be accessed at the end of Iby Street. We are asking participants to please park along the sides of Iby Street and not at the end.
Please wear good sturdy shoes (boots preferable), long pants, long sleeves (or layers), a hat, sunscreen, and bug spray. The City will be handing out gloves, but feel free to bring your own if you have a pair you prefer. There will be some refreshments, but we recommend that you bring your own water bottle to have with you in the park.
