RAIN OR SHINE spend Saturday morning having fun in the river, and helping keep Montpelier a safe and beautiful place to live! Join the Friends of the Winooski on Saturday Sept 9th from 8:30 to noon to clean up the local river! Pre-registration is not necessary. We'll meet at Montpelier City Hall at 8:30 to get site assignments and carpool to the cleanup sites. Children under 18 are welcome, but should be supervised by an adult companion at all times. Wear warm clothes that can get wet and muddy, and closed-toed shoes with grippy soles. Bring gloves if you can; we'll have some to lend out. For more information contact shawn@winooskiriver.org.
