Artists' Reception in St Albans

Past event

Does Labor Day mark the end of summer or the beginning of fall? Is the glass half empty or half full? Those weighty questions don’t need to be resolved now, but you do need to stop by the Artist in Residence Gallery (10 South Main Street, St Albans) Thursday, September 7th from 4:30 - 7pm to meet our featured artists for September. And while you are there enjoying good conversation and light refreshment, pick up that special birthday or wedding present.

The featured artists for September are:

Pam Fiaschetti has been interested in painting since childhood. She enjoys plein air painting where she captures Vermont's natural beauty. Pam works mainly in oils and acrylics

Mark Doremus has recently transferred his skills as a machinist, a field in which he worked until retirement, into carved wood interpretations of photographs. Using computer software and a CNC router, he "molds" three-dimensional images.

Natalie LaRocque has immersed herself in the beauty of nature. As an artist she feels compelled to capture the images she sees and share them through her paintings and prints. Natalie's paintings are quite large, enabling the viewer to experience the same sense of inspiration and gratitude that generated her artistic expression

Martha McGinn's background in chemistry and medical research informs her approach to the deep colorful glazes of her functional pottery. Explorations in texture, shape, and color result in an ever-expanding body of work. In addition to her wheel-thrown and slab-built work, Martha sculpts expressive angels

See you on Thursday, September 7th at the AIR Gallery, 10 South Main Street, St Albans 4:30 - 7pm
