Adult Aikido Workshop and Demonstration: Friday, September 8th 7pm -8:30pm

Discover the beautiful and powerful Japanese martial art of Aikido. These free mini workshops (you can drop in anytime) introduce adults and teens to this dynamic martial art that emphasizes circular movement, physical conditioning, and pinning and throwing techniques. The workshop includes a demonstration of Aikido weapons practice and a discussion of the philosophy of Aikido.

Watch a dynamic demonstration of the Japanese Martial Art of Aikido presented by the Aikido of Champlain Valley youth program! Aikido training teaches children how to become calm under stress and learn bully awareness and prevention skills. It is a non-competitive martial art that emphasizes circular evasions rather than strikes or kicks.
