Dear fellow Waterbury community members,

We all know what it’s like to rebuild after the devastation of flood waters. Both gathering our community of friends and neighbors, and receiving support from far and wide were so important six years ago, as we began our recovery effort.

Now, it’s our turn to help those whose lives are being turned upside down by Harvey.

Next Wednesday, September 6, we’re hosting a benefit evening here at our SunCommon offices. Join us for a showing of Before The Flood. Popcorn, drinks, and ice cream on us. We just ask you to contribute what you can. SunCommon will match the first $2500 of community donations, dollar for dollar!

All donations will go to The Center for Disaster Philanthropy, a mission-driven organization dedicated to distributing donations strategically and increasing donor effectiveness through the lifecycle of disasters. http://disasterphilanthropy.org/

Again, Wednesday at 6:00PM, film starts at 6:30. If you can’t make it to the event, but want to donate, feel free to drop in through the day or give online and send a copy of the receipt to info@suncommon.com. We’ll tally it up toward our match.
