Urban Agriculture in the Five Sisters Neighborhood; Open Yards on 9/10/17.

There are great things happening in small spaces in our neighborhood, including intensive Urban vegetable and fruit gardens and innovative composting projects in front, side, and backyards.

You are invited to an Open Yards event at two homes in our neighborhood next Sunday, September 10th from 4:00 -6:00 pm.  Susan Munkres and Jason Van Driesche at 129 Caroline Street (near the corner of Caroline and Locust Streets), and Ruby Perry and Andy Simon at 54 Locust Street (corner of Locust St. and Locust Terrace; please enter by the Locust Terrace gate) will be giving mini-tours of their gardens and talking about their experiments, techniques, successes/failures, and visions/plans for further exploration.  We'll have tea and garden snacks, local resource information, and backyard conversations and community connections to enjoy as well.
