On December 7 and 8 Bella Voce Women's Chorus of Vermont will offer a festive array of joyous selections to ring in the holidays! The music of Norwegian/American composer Ola Gjeilo is featured in these concerts including his vibrant “Gloria” and “Tundra”, a work which evokes the ice-blue beauty of Norway in winter. There will also be a raffle for multiple items that have been generously donated by local supporters of the choir.

Both concerts will be held at the First Baptist Church in Burlington at 81 St. Paul Street. Saturday's concert is at 8pm and Sunday's is at 3pm. Because I am a music teacher at CCS who both sings with and accompanies Bella Voce, my CCS students are eligible to purchase lower priced tickets for the Saturday evening concert ($12 versus $15) by calling 863.5966 in advance. All adult non-senior tickets are $18. You can purchase tickets at the door or at flynntix.org in advance.

The Northern Bronze Handbell Ensemble, which is directed by Jeri Bergdahl, also of Charlotte, will be guest artists for these concerts and will perform a number of carols and songs of the season with the choir.
