Our family has had a long association with a summer sleep-away camp in the Adirondacks. The North Country Camps, (Camp Lincoln for boys and Camp Whippoorwill for girls) is a summer long residential camp located on the idyllic shores of Lake Augur in Keeseville, NY. The camps focus on building cohesive communities, personal responsibility, self-reliance and skill building in a non-competitive environment. Lots of opportunities to learn life long skills in areas like canoeing, sailing, windsurfing, swimming, horseback riding, woodworking, crafting, dance, theater, tennis, soccer, baseball and archery.
