Join Special Olympics Vermont for Young Athletes: an inclusive sports play program for children ages 2-7!

The Hinesburg Community School will host a 6-week Special Olympics Young Athletes program on Saturdays from 10:00 - 11:00am, September 16 - October 21, 2017. A volunteer coach training and orientation will take place Saturday September 9, 10-11am.

Young Athletes is designed to provide opportunities for young children to be active, have fun, and learn foundational sports skills. The program supports physical, cognitive and social development — skills important on and off the sports field. The program is proven to accelerate the development of children with and without disabilities and prepares athletes before they are eligible to compete with Special Olympics Vermont school and community programs at age 8.
