Past event
Aug 25, 2017, 10 to 11 AM

We apologize for any inconvenience that rescheduling this class has caused and hope you will join us this Friday.
Dynamic teacher Bobby Farlice-Rubio from the Fairbanks Museum will be at the Greensboro Free Library for a class called The First Vermonters: a History of the Abenaki People. The Abenaki people have lived in Vermont for thousands of years, and they are still here today. By focusing on the individual lives of seven famous Abenakis from different times, we’ll explore how their culture has survived the centuries and evolved to meet the challenges of a changing world. We’ll also discover how the Abenaki Nation has shaped the present and future of all of Vermont’s people. Build A Better World by learning about where we live and who we live with and in the footsteps of. Bobby will also touch on a little about the eclipse in relation to Native American cultures. Free and open to the public. Contact the library at greensborokids@gmail.com or 533-2531 for more information.
