As our children and school staff head back to school, Richmond Congregational Church www.rccucc.org will celebrate with the Blessing of the Backpacks & Briefcases! Worship will be intergenerational, so children will stay in worship throughout the service. Please bring your tools for learning and work to church on Sunday for a special blessing.

We will also bless school supplies collected during the month of August, to be donated to CESD elementary schools. When school resumes, the school will distribute the items to those in need of supplies. If you would like to help by making a donation, here is the list of items they need:

Glue Sticks
Pencils
Erasers
Dry Erase markers (low odor)
2 pocket folders (20 of one color)
Sidewalk chalk
100 page composition books Regular NOT College ruled (hardcover)
graph paper notebooks
Pens (cheap Bic 12 pack)
Headphones for 3rd & 4th grade (traditional headband style that covers whole ear, not earbuds) Available at Walmart, Staples etc.
Markers
Regular lined notebook paper NOT College ruled
Regular lined 100 page notebooks NOT College ruled
They can also use socks of any size and gender

*Donations can be dropped of at the church Tuesday-Thursday from 9:00 am-1:00 pm, or bring them with you Sunday morning.
