Jon Gailmor Opens the Tinmouth Old Firehouse Fall Series with His Unique Songs and Humor
Jon Gailmor is a Vermont Troubador from up on the edge of the Northeast Kingdom. He opens the Tinmouth Old Firehouse Fall Series on September 8 at 7:30 PM. His original songs are marked with childish illogic, profound feelings, absurd humor and, at times, both subtle and obvious messages.
Songs to make people feel alive!. Music for humans prenatal through prehistoric, spanning the entire emotional spectrum. Humor and audience involvement are integral parts of any Jon Gailmor performance. Original, relevant, irreverent, children's, American, international, and totally absurd tunes.
Much of his subject matter involves The Family. He’ll have folks singing and clapping together, guffawing, weeping, whatever it takes for an audience to revel in its humanity.
Schoolchildren throughout Vermont, including Tinmouth, have learned songwriting from Jon in his many school residencies. And it seems that Jon has learned from them as well. An absolutely delightful evening at the Firehouse is in store on September 8.
The Old Firehouse is at Mountain View Road and Vt. 140 in downtown Tinmouth, next to the new Firehouse. Doors will open at 7 PM. There is a suggested donation of $10 to $15, 90% of which goes to the performers. The remainder pays the town for the upkeep of the Old Firehouse. Home made desserts, coffee and tea will be available. Donations for them will help support community activities.
