The Austin Handbell Choir of the First Congregational Church in Burlington invites the public to attend a free concert in the sanctuary of the church at 38 So. Winooski Ave., on December 15 at 3:00 p.m. The concert celebrates the choir’s 50th anniversary of ringing English handbells and chimes. The repertoire consists of favorites of choir members, including folk songs, spirituals, holiday favorites, patriotic, religious and other musical arrangements. The handbell choir will be accompanied by the Church vocal choir; its music director and organ master, David Neiweem; and other instrumentalists. All who attend are invited to a reception with light refreshments following the concert.
