Important Notes about this Event:
-Pre-registration is required
-This event is completely weather dependent
-Please park in the parking lot in front of Vergennes Elementary, not around back.
-Our safe viewing glasses will not fit children under 6 years old. We will have other safe viewing options for everyone.
-We do not have safe eclipse viewing glasses to loan or give away unfortunately.
You can find a list of libraries who were given free glasses to distribute at http://www.starnetlibraries.org/2017eclipse/ or instructions to build an easy safe viewing pinhole camera at https://www.jpl.nasa.gov/edu/learn/project/how-to-make-a-pinhole-camera/ .
We will be rotating viewing parties at 2PM, 2:30PM and 3PM. We will have 2 telescopes on site to safely view the eclipse from and will hopefully have safe viewing glasses to use as well. Anyone who has glasses or safe viewing devices already is welcome to join us and needn’t register.
