Drunk & in the Woods is a Johnson-based band consisting of vocals, electric mandolin, bass, drums, and horns. They offer soul, blues, and their own brand of woodland funk. Members Emily Haley (vocals), Justin Burgess (bass), Sonja Poirier (trumpet), Makayla Jones (baritone saxophone), Benj Spound (drums), Charles Canney (alt/tenor saxophone), and Henry Clark (electric mandolin & vocals.) Great music and it is free, just bring a chair or blanket.
On August 22nd from 6 to 8:30 PM, Drunk and in the Woods will perform on the Tuesday Night Live Outdoor Stage, Legion Field, School Street, Johnson.
Tuesday Night Live is a family friendly, community event with music and activities.
Volunteer groups and vendors offer lots to talk about and a great selection of summer treats. Is there anything that beats a slice of fresh fruit pie including blueberry, blackberry, apricot, apple or peach; or decadent chocolate varieties: or maple combinations with pecans, walnuts or cream at the Johnson Historical Society tent? Not likely! Other treats around the field include Kettle Corn, Cotton Candy, Ice Cream and many more.
