Maclure Library is one of the most beautiful buildings in Pittsford, and we need help to keep it that way. We have several up and coming projects where we need volunteers! The first and most important project is refinishing the library's amazing front doors. This job does not require a great deal of skill, but needs lots of elbow grease.

Volunteers are needed first for rough sanding of the woodwork to remove the sun-baked varnish. Second, to apply an epoxy sealer to seal and bond to the wood. And finally, to apply a few coats of varnish.

We think with a team of six to eight people, this can be accomplished in three hours on Saturday and another three on Sunday.
