Safe Harbor at the United Church
Over the last few years there has been an epidemic of drug and alcohol related deaths. These events strike deep into the lives of family and friends. I myself have lived as a youth in the lifestyle of alcohol and drugs. I have been in recovery for over 34 years. My son, however, was not as fortunate. We lost him two and a half years ago due to his addiction.
There are growing numbers of survivors, missing our lost loved ones. On August 20th at 6pm at the United Church of Randolph, Safe Harbor will have its first gathering. It will be a time for us to meet others and seek relief and renewal together after having suffered our losses. It is the intention of Safe Harbor to bring comfort and hope for survivors to help us look to the future. We will never forget but we must also look to the future!
I hope to see all who are affected by these circumstances come together on August 20th. 18 North Main Street, Randolph.
