Join the Healthy Roots Gleaning program Wednesday the 16th from 9 am-12 pm at Pomykala Farm in Grand Isle to glean basil, celery, and peas! Volunteers will be harvesting these crops in the field for donation to local charitable food programs. We will be meeting at the farm stand and moving to the fields from there. All gleaned produce will be distributed to regional food shelves and free community meal sites. We provide all necessary equipment we just ask you dress appropriately for the weather in clothes you don't mind getting a little dirty.
