Are you interested in learning more about bees and other pollinators? Or possibly in developing your own pollinator garden?

Please join the Conservation Commission on August 25th at 7pm for the presentation of our Key Note Speaker, Michael Kiernan. Michael is a native beekeeper and founder of bee the change. He is an engaging speaker and the Conservation Commission is pleased to be hosting this presentation in Craftsbury. The location is a field off Summer Drive in Craftsbury which is a road located off the Black River road.

Mike’s presentation will be at 7pm, following the Thompson Family Farm Conservation Fund Benefit dinner which begins at 5:30. You do not have to attend the dinner to come to the presentation. The presentation is free to all, but we will pass the hat for donations to go directly to Mike’s work at bee the change. The cost of the benefit dinner is $35. each which includes a $15. donation to the Craftsbury Conservation Fund.

Mike has been an instructor at Middlebury College since 2004, teaching at the Middlebury School of the Environment since 2015. Mike is the Director of MiddCORE Workshops, and the Project for Creativity and Innovation. He is an Emergency Physician at Porter Hospital and Medical Center in Middlebury VT, was on the Executive Council of The Vermont Medical Society, and a member of the Technical Advisory Group of the Green Mountain Care Board. Since 2006 Mike has been the Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Town Hall Theatre in Middlebury VT. He is a graduate of Williams College in Williamstown Massachusetts.
