Mark your calendars, Burlington! The police will be hosting a late summer cremee series:
- Friday, September 8th, at Beansie's in Battery Park adjacent to Police Headquarters, 5-7 PM
- Friday, September 22nd, at Burlington Bay, 5-7 PM
Bring friends and family and come have a cremee on us. We'll send out reminders, but we wanted to start spreading the word now. Our officers will be on hand, along with our motorcycle unit, cars to play in and around (please go easy on the sirens), and we'll have stickers and give-aways for all.
We have also revamped our recruiting website, and we're hiring for the fall/winter academy class. Peruse it here: www.bpdcareers.com
Follow us on Twitter: @OneNorthAvenue
Lastly, please everyone, lock your car doors and don't leave valuables in your car. We read FPF posts diligently and take note of where thefts from cars are occurring. In nearly all cases, the cars in question were unlocked or the value proposition of a break-in was clear due to valuables in plain sight. Locking doors and removing valuables will do much to alleviate this type of crime.
We're looking forward to seeing you around town and at Beansie's and Burlington Bay.
