Celebrating the Lake and Sacred Waters

Past event
Sep 9, 2017, 9 AM to 3:30 PM

Join this fun day of community celebration and connection to our beloved Lake Champlain and the waters that feed her!
You can begin with yoga offered on the shore of Shelburne Bay at 9 AM, or simply arrive and sip your coffee and enjoy the view. We'll gather at 10 AM for an opening circle of introductions & invocations.

Choose from morning and afternoon opportunities to try your hand at rowing a longboat, paddling a canoe up river, exploring nature trails, creating collective art and more. Educational and sacred activities will be guided by faith leaders, field naturalists, educators, artists, and other talented souls.

The celebration is free, open to the public and boats are provided.
Participants are welcome to bring a picnic or purchase a bag lunch on site for $10.
No private crafts please.

Sponsored by: All Souls Interfaith Gathering, Ascension Lutheran Church, Community Sailing Center, ECHO-Leahy Center for Lake Champlain, Lake Champlain Committee, Lake Champlain Maritime Museum, Rock Point - Episcopal Diocese, Shelburne Farms, and the Town of Shelburne Parks & Recreation.

*NOTE - All boats provided; please do NOT bring your own
