The Abraham Fund Initiatives envisions an Israel in which Jewish and Arab citizens share equally in the opportunities and benefits of a just, secure, and prosperous society. Their mission is to advance equality and cooperation between Israel’s Jewish and Arab citizens through large-scale social change initiatives, strategic community-based projects, advocacy, and public education. https://www.abrahamfund.org/
Please join us at Beth Jacob Synagogue, 10 Harrison Ave, Montpelier on Wednesday, August 23 at 7 pm for a presentation by Chris Whitman, Senior Development Manager of The Abraham Fund’s North America office.
Chris is looking forward to sharing with the Montpelier community about the fund's programs in Israel and then there will be ample time for questions and discussion.
Before joining the North America team, Mr. Whitman spent six years living in the West Bank, obtaining his Master’s Degree at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem in Middle Eastern studies and working for various Israeli and Palestinian NGOs, focusing on development, labor rights, women’s rights, and human rights. In his spare time, Chris was active bringing Israeli Jews and West Bank Palestinians together to discuss resolving the conflict on both an individual and collective level.
