Astronomical Society Talk on 2017 Solar Eclipse and Safe Solar Viewing - Wednesday, August 16th, 6:30 - To help us prepare for the eclipse on Monday, the 21st, we will be joined by Jack St. Louis. Mr. St. Louis is the president of the Vermont Astronomical Society and will present a talk on the 2017 solar eclipse. He will show examples of ways to view the sun safely with a pinhole projector, solar glasses, solar filters for telescopes and other methods. At this event, and in the days following it, we will be distributing special glasses for safely viewing the eclipse. For all ages.
