As a follow-up to the book discussion of The Martian by Andy Weir, the Jeudevine Library is showing the film version of the novel starring Matt Damon. Damon was nominated for a Best Actor Award by the Academy Awards for his role in this film. Though suspenseful, there is also a lot of humor in this film about an astronaut left behind on Mars and how he works at surviving alone on Mars while those back on Earth learn that he is still alive.
This program is part of the "Pushing the Limits" series at the Jeudevine Library funded by a grant from the National Science Foundation. Bring a bag supper! The library will have popcorn and drinks. For more information call the library at 472-5948.
