New Town Plan proposes Major Zoning Change in Saxon Hill Conservation District. Town says win win. However, some of us see it as spot zoning where the Town gets what it already has but with a sand pit, a big residential development, more noise, less trees, higher taxes, increased traffic on Route 15 and Sandhill Drive, more storm water, liability and maintenance for an old dam, potentially as much as $100,000 for recommended park improvements. No matter whether you are against the change or have drunk the Kool-Aid, hope you come to the Town Plan public meeting Monday night. Only way to prevent this zoning change is to attend this Town Plan meeting and speak your piece and then vote down the Town Plan next year if it has this change in it when it comes for the vote.
