Mayor of Ithaca Speaks at Let's Talk Progress #03

Head down to the Train Station at One Main St. on Wednesday August 16th from 5-7pm for the third Let's Talk Progress event. Svante Myrick the Mayor of Ithaca NY, will be talking about how his city is addressing everything from housing affordability to decaying infrastructure to panhandling. Adopting form-based code, investing in the revitalization of the downtown commons, and creating innovative incentives has led to economic growth, thriving public spaces, and lower individual tax rates. Let’s Talk Progress is an eight part speakers series about what Burlington can be and how smart growth can help us get there. The series is funded by the Kauffman Foundation and the Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce and is produced by LCRCC in association with community partners.Throughout the series Local and National experts will talk about different aspects of smart growth and how it can impact jobs, housing, transportation, social equity and the environment.
