I’m organizing a 50/50 community-wide yard sale to benefit the Plainfield Fire & Rescue Squad. 50/50 means that participants agree to donate at least half of the proceeds of their yard sale to the Plainfield Fire Department, 169 Main St., Plainfield, VT 05667. Of course, anyone who chooses to donate more than 50% is welcome to!

Date: Saturday, August 12 (Rain date: August 19). If it rains both days, the event will be rescheduled.

Time: 9-3

There are two ways you can participate:

Option A:

Set up a table at the residence of Bob and Kathy Fancher at 133 Mill St. (corner Brook Rd. and Mill St.), who have kindly offered the use of their lawn for this event. Please call Kathy at 454-7247 or email PlainfieldFundraiser@gmail.com to reserve a spot for your table. There's no fee.

Ground rules:

· BYOT (bring your own table).
· Man (or woman) your own table.
· Be totally responsible for setup and break down.

Option B:

Have a yard sale at your own place.

It'd be helpful to know how many people are participating in this event so we can better spread the word about it, so whether you plan to participate at Bob and Kathy's yard or in your own front yard, please let Kathy know.

I feel grateful for the existence of the Plainfield Fire and Rescue Squad. I called on them twice in the past and they were there in minutes. What an amazing group of dedicated volunteers!
