After the devastating flood of 1927, the farm wives of Pleasant Valley formed the Valley Workers to raise funds needed to repair damage to the First Congregational Church in Cambridge Village. Once or twice a month the Workers would host dinners at different farms throughout Pleasant Valley charging ten cents a head. Beginning annually, sometime later this effort became the Pleasant Valley Picnic hosted at different locations the first Sunday in August at noon.
Please join us this year at Christy and Tom Liddy's house. Anyone that has been connected to the Pleasant Valley community is invited to this event.
