The Vermont Daughters of the American Revolution has announced that a special free event at the John Strong Mansion Museum has been scheduled for Saturday, August 19th. At 1 pm Susan Ferland, curator of the Mansion, will be giving a talk entitled: “Herbs: A Colonial Housewife’s First Defense”. The Mansion is open for tours every Saturday and Sunday through Labor Day from 10-5. The usual admission is $5 for adults, $3 for seniors and children, and $10 for a family. The Mansion is located at 6656 VT Route 17 W in Addison.
