Vermont Institute of Natural Science (VINS) presents "Nesting Season - Raptors and Their Homes" on Friday, August 4, at 10:30 am. Nesting is the most important time of the year for bird populations, and we can take actions that help them out. Learn what to do if you find a baby bird, and consider becoming a citizen scientist through conservation projects like NestWatch. You will find out what bird parents are doing at this time of year, and meet three raptors up close to learn from the experts themselves.
The program is 45 minutes long, open to all ages, and will feature 3 live birds along with touchable artifacts! Free event.
After the program, all children are welcome to enjoy a free lunch sponsored by Our Community Cares Camp. This is our last Pizza Friday.
