National Night Out!

Past event
Aug 1, 2017, 4 to 7 PM

National Night Out is celebrating its 15th year in Rutland and its last year at Giorgetti Athletic Complex (before it returns to the city pool!). It should be a big crowd this year, and the organizers are planning to WOW, with:

- Bouncy houses
- Slip n' slide
- Hula hoop making workshops
- Climbing wall
- Police k-9 demonstrations
- Raffles and more!

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods even safer. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community.

Brett Myhre will be DJing and providing the rhythm for community members as they get airborne in the bouncy houses, munch on hamburgers and hot dogs, sip down a snow cone, go head first down the slip n slide, get transformed into an animal of their choice by skilled face-painters, and imagine dropping in at Flip Side Skate Park as they watch a skateboarding demo.

National Night Out takes place Tuesday, August 1 from 4 – 7 PM at Giorgetti Athletic Complex, rain or shine.

The Bus will be offering riders on the West Route FREE Bus service for National Night Out starting around 3:30 pm and running through end of the day schedule. The event is completely free and open to the public. National Night Out is sponsored by NeighborWorks of Western Vermont, Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility, Stewart’s Shops, Jiffy Mart, Friehofers Bakery Outlet, Creed Ice Co Inc, Frito-Lay, Casella, and Thomas Dairy.
