Northeast Kingdom International to Host Airshow

July 27, 2017 / Montpelier, Vt. – The Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) announces the return of the Newport Airshow on Saturday, July 29 and Sunday, July 30 at the Northeast Kingdom International Airport (formerly Newport State Airport).

The event consists of a variety of display aircraft, the Cars of Yesteryear show, scenic aircraft rides, and an airshow both days. Admission is free and refreshments will be available for purchase. Event gates will be open Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and the airshow will be between 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm each day.

Increased air traffic in and around the Newport area is expected due to the event. Additional information on the Northeast Kingdom International Airport can be found at vtrans.vermont.gov/aviation/airports/newport.
