This is a film screening of a First Wednesdays program, originally presented on February 4, 2015. Harvard professor and Civil War scholar John Stauffer will look at the often similar lives of abolitionist Frederick Douglass and Abraham Lincoln. Stauffer will examine their friendship, the striking similarities in their lives, and their legacies.
