Waterbury Rotary's 35th summer of “Concerts in the Park”
Event: July 27th, 2017, 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM
Once again, this Thursday, the Rotary Club of Waterbury presents FREE musical concerts at the Rusty Parker Memorial Park in Waterbury Village. This week, the “Radio Underground” will perform Good ole Rock and Roll.. Come join the hundreds of family and friends that will be bringing their lawn chairs, blankets, and picnic supper or purchase your supper from a variety of vendors on site. As usual, the Rotary will be serving free ice cream while it lasts and during the performance, will be selling 50/50 raffle tickets the proceeds from which directly go to defraying the cost of the bands.
Also this week the Rotary Club will be having a "Mini-Silent Auction" in the recently refurbished GAZEBO. Check out the variety of goods and services to be bid on, place your bid, and listen for the winners to be announced during the evening at the concert. All proceeds go to support your local Rotary club's community service initiatives like these free concerts.
Come early and shop from the numerous booths set up by the Waterbury Farmer's Market, 3:00 - 7:00 pm.
On the following Thursday, August 3rd, “ Tim Brick” will perform Country Rock. The 2017 concerts are free thanks to the Rotary and these generous sponsors::
