Trunk Show Grand Isle Art Works

Past event
Jul 29, 10 AM to 4 PM, Jul 30, 2017

This is going to be a fabulous weekend.  If you love seeing art in action, you will want to be here on July 29 & 30 from 10-4:00 each day!
The gallery will be hosting its 7th annual Trunk Show and Sale.  There are currently 75 or more Vermont artists that are represented by the gallery in 6 rooms of artwork. On the last weekend in July, the 29th and 30th, over 40 additional artists will be setting up their 10x10 canopies around the grounds of the gallery.

In keeping with the meaning of a “Trunk Show” artists will be opening their trunks and boxes and bringing out new work.  The grounds of the gallery will take on a festive “Farmer’s Market” and carnival atmosphere.  The scope of artwork presented will be limitless with pottery, photography, fiber arts, woodworking, stained glass, fused glass, jewelry, watercolors, cards and prints, paintings of all kinds, and Vermont products available.  To add to all that there will be woodworking demonstrations in a large tent in the front of the gallery.  Wood turning, carving, and wood sculpture will be demonstrated. And if that’s not enough, there are Angora goats on site that just love having people scratch their ears.
The cafe at the gallery will be cooking up lunch for those who want to spend the day checking out all the artwork. The cafe also serves Vermont beers and Island wines.  All of that should be incentive enough for a day trip to the Islands.
Take a chance with our summer raffle - lots of great art pieces including a wooden bowl by Jim Holzschuh and a knit shawl by Ellen A. Thompson.!  A percentage of the weekend proceeds will go to C.I.D.E.R. (Champlain Islanders Developing Essential Resources) a local Human Service agency.  Come to Grand Isle Art Works and make a day of it.  The 7th Annual Trunk Show and Sale will take place, rain or shine at Grand Isle Art Works, 259 US Rte 2, Grand Isle ~~ 802.378.4591
