The aromas of sweet deserts and the sounds of Franco-American music will fill the air on July 27 from 5:30 - 8:30 pm when the 5th annual La Soiree Sucree returns to Barre’s historic Old Labor Hall, 46 Granite St., as part of the Barre Heritage Festival. The Soiree begins with the French Dessert Competition and Tasting, followed by the music of Va-et-Vient at 6 with songs & tunes from 16th century France, Louisianna, and Québec. Tickets for La Soiree Sucree are $10 in advance from barreheritagefestival.org/la-soiree-sucree.html or $15 for adults($6 for kids under 12) at the door.
