Join us at the Argyle Prospect Hill Cemetery at 3 pm for a ceremony to mark the dedication of a memorial to honor the nine killed 240 years ago by Native Americans attached to British General Johnny Burgoyne's army as they advanced towards Saratoga and their eventual defeat that fall. We will have an Argyle American Legion honor guard, national anthem from Christine Cuthbert, invocation from Rev.Steve McLean, speeches from Argyle Town Historian Sue Brennan, Argyle Town Councilmen Tim Healey, Washington County Historian Paul McCarty, Allen Family member descendant George Kilmer, and bagpipe music from Corrin Fish. Hope to see you there. Light refreshments will be served.
