Cookie’s Hot Club will entertain on July 25th, 6 PM to 8:30 PM on the Tuesday Night Live Outdoor Stage, Legion Field, School Street, Johnson. It is a great sound when band members D. Davis (guitar), Greg Evans (guitar), Peter Lind (harp), Django Koenig (drums), and Carrie Cook (bass) perform their gypsy jazz. Cookie is Carrie Cook, who is renowned in Lamoille County for her talent and her support of many local groups. Cookie’s Hot Club is hot!
The Conservation Commission will feature Denise Krause talking archery. She is a certified 4H Archery instructor and has extensive experience working with youth and adult groups. At the Skate Park booth, Casey Romero will let you know how things are rolling along with future plans and on-going activities.
Elly Ventura at the LRSWMD will help with any recycling questions you may have about food scrap recycling. Enjoy your supper or a snack on the Legion Field and if you have any scraps left over, take them to the LRSWMD tent to see how the new recycle law is being implemented.
There may not be any food scraps from meals or snacks purchased from the vendors on the field since all the selections are yummy. Check-out JJ's Maple Cotton Candy, Green Mountain Kettle Corn, Papa Gyro, Hot Tamale, Kingdom Creamery, Mediterranean Mix,
Nepalese Himalayan Food, Northern Fire and Slice, Big Jay Tavern, Miso Hungry Noodle Bowls, and Caja Madera Taco Truck. A traditional highlight is the homemade pie, sold by the slice at the Johnson Historical Society tent. Fresh fruit pies, maple pies, decadent pies, and Alice’s German chocolate cake. The McKenzie hot dogs and potato salad are a summer treat too.
