Atlantic Crossing, one of Vermont's longest standing traditional dance and concert bands, will be performing a concert at the Salisbury Congregational Church on Friday this week (sorry about the late notice - that's probably today by the time this is posted!) It's part of the Salisbury Summer Performance Series, and the church is a wonderful venue for an acoustic show - just instruments and voices and no amplification.
Fiddles, mandolins, banjo, guitar, whistles, percussion, podorhythmie (come and find out if you're not sure what that is) and voices combine to bring you traditional dance music of New England, our original compositions grounded in the same roots, and ballads old and new.
Bring a joyous heart and a willing voice. Start time is 7:30 pm. Donations to the Salisbury Church Restoration Fund. Let's keep this wonderful building alive for the future of our wider community.
[Incidentally, contrary to some previous advertising, this will not be an opportunity to introduce the new 4th member of our quartet. Our search for this elusive member has recently had to be renewed. We will be joined instead by our recent ex, Tristan, for one more show.]
