July 25 (5:30 – 7:30): “Amazing Odonates: Dragonfllies & Damselflies” This introduction to dragonflies and damselflies is a show-and-tell event with a bit of biology (life cycle with one to many years as underwater hunters, emergence, shore patrols and mating rituals...), macro photos, myths and stories, and dragonfly nymph “skins” (exuviae) presented by naturalist Laurie DiCesare. Optional field trip to Gilbrook Reservoir in Winooski on July 29 (10 to noon) is included in the fee ($40 OLLIE members, $60 non-OLLIE members.).
