"Around the World in 80 Days" - What a Lark!

This is the last weekend to catch Lost Nation Theater's Around the World in 80 Days. A thoroughly enjoyable production with truly inventive staging and props. This adaptation by Mark Brown imagines Jules Verne's novel as a quick-change slapstick comedy. 5 actors play over 50 roles, with a 6 man "pit crew" who (try to) facilitate all the changes. The play "revolves" around a brilliantly imaginative circus theme set design by Vermont artist Clay Coyle complete with a revolving center stage, several trap doors, and 2 small circular platforms on wheels, all of which plays out as a madcap romp around the world . Jim Lowe of the Times Argus says, “BRILLIANT STAGING…A ZANY COMEDY AND A TOUCH OF ROMANCE”. "Priceless expressions from this seasoned but youthful cast! Fun and laughs all the way through! Lots of action! " says Linda Henzel. 4 shows left: Thurs., Fri., Sat., evenings at 7:30, and a Sunday Matinee (last show) at 2 pm. July 20-23, Tickets available at the door (39 Main Street-City Hall Montpelier) or from their website: www.lostnationtheater.org
