Walking Tour of Lower Waterford

Past event
Jul 26, 2017, 5:30 to 7:30 PM

Next Wednesday, the Waterford Historical Society is hosting a free, walking tour of the iconic White Village with lifelong resident David Morrison to be followed by refreshments. We'll start and end at the Davies Memorial Library which was originally built as a general store, circa 1797. Come find out what happened when the state straightened out Route 18; where the original village crossroads was located; what the "sheep dip" was also used for, and how river men riding logs down the Connecticut left their mark at the Rabbit Hill Inn.
