A Tribute To Brooke Ostrander: a night of great music to honor the memory of a beloved long time music educator. – Saturday, August 12, 5-10PM, 14th Star Brewery, St. Albans – free admission.

Brooke Ostrander, long time band director at MVU, passed in 2011. This event has been created to continue an annual tradition of honoring his legacy through music. Many former students, friends, and local musical celebrities are coming together to present an evening of music of multiple genres from Motown, Blues, Country, Classic and Pop Rock, and more.

Performers include James Thacker, Bob Berger, Erik Kilburn, Trevor Jewett, Eric Bushey, Jordan Ostrander, John McDonald, Andre Maquera, Aaron Gagne, Mike Willey, Eric Beauregard, Mary Beth Nichols, Allana Freeman, Jason and Jackson Garrow, James Haugland, Dana Ross, Bob Corbiere, Troy Turner and other special guests.

Admission is free but there will be a good will offering to offset minimal expenses and to help provide assistance to high school music students from the area. More information is available on the 14th Star Facebook Events page.
