Modern Times Theater
Monday July 17 at 10:45
at NOTCH Day Camp and sponsored by the Arvin A. Brown Public Library

Mr. Punch, the world's oldest clown, never knows when enough is enough!

He's always making a mess of himself and his environment. When Punch finds himself living in a trash heap, he needs the help of smart children and their smart parents to learn how to make do or do without.

Modern Times Theater delights family audiences with their handmade wooden and papier-mache puppets, in a modern Vermont update of the age-old Punch and Judy show. There will be live acoustic music on a variety of instruments, from the ukulele to the bicycle pump, as well as a thrilling puppet show, all calculated to delight and enlighten both children and their folks. Funded in part by a grant from the Vermont Department of Libraries

Summer Encore “Mirror, Mirror, Show Me The Fairest World of All”

at NOTCH Day Camp and sponsored by the Arvin A. Brown Public Library

“Mirror, Mirror, Show Me The Fairest World of All” Summer Encore (at NOTCH Day Camp) will develop a story that includes villains from folk and fairy tales around the world who have a change of heart and start a crusade to unite the world in peace. This will be an audience participation piece with audience members having a chance to be a part of the solution. There will be keepsakes and a challenge for the audience members to take away with them. Summer Encore, which is in its twentieth year, is a troupe of students in grades 7-12 who develop a play each year that fits the theme of the reading program.
