Paint and Picnic in the Park: Help Create Town Mural

Past event
Jul 15, 2017, 2 to 5 PM

Bethel’s retaining wall will soon be home to a giant mural of rainbow & brook trout. Join us at the Bandshell for a painting party and be part of history - help paint and bring these fish to life!

* Free ice cream
* Free t-shirt making with the Arts Bus, 2:30-4:30
* Bethel Cornhole League (all welcome to play)
* Lawn games
* Music

Vermont mural artist Mary Lacy designed the fish, which will be painted on plywood and mounted on the wall. We need lots of hands to help paint the pieces – no artistic experience necessary! Put on some old clothes and join your neighbors to make art and celebrate summer in Bethel.

This is one of three "Art on the River" public art projects supported by the Vermont Arts Council; we'll also be previewing the other projects.

Open House style - come when you're ready, stay as long as you want and pack a picnic if you like. Spread the word and bring your family and friends!

Rain or Shine - check this page or our website after 10 AM Sat if rain is in the forecast. We will update with a rain plan or location.

Thanks to the The Vermont Arts Council, Town of Bethel, Vermont, VTrans and all of the people making this project happen!
