The Friends of the Plainfield Town Hall Opera House are pleased to announce the final performance in its first annual concert series. On Sunday, July 16 at 4pm, five well known pianists will share the stage in a joint concert celebrating the Opera House and dedicating its new piano.
The pianists are: Michael Arnowitt playing Bach, Debussy and Stravinsky, Dan Bruce playing a medley of Gershwin tunes, Alison Cerutti playing Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata, Diane Huling playing Chopin and Ravel, and Arthur Zorn playing his own compositions.
The piano is being dedicated to the memory of Jane Reid Strong (1919 – 2000) who is fondly remembered for her skill as a pianist, for sharing her musical talent with the community, and for nurturing a passion for music in her children.
A reception with refreshments will follow the performance.
Tickets are available through tickets.Catamountarts.org or at the door.
General Admission: $15, Seniors $10, Students $5, Special Rate $5
(We want our concerts to be available to everyone. Request the Special Rate. No questions asked.)
