Happy to have Nickel and Rose at Gracie's Kitchen Tuesday 7/11 6pm. The music of Nickel&Rose (Carl Nichols-Guitar, Johanna Rose-Upright bass) has become a travelogue taking listeners from a Griot Ceremony in Senegal to a basement punk show in Portland all while retaining the true spirit of American Folk Music. Imagine Peggy Lee and Ali Farka Toure at a Bluegrass jam. Better yet, experience them Live. With tours of 7 countries under their belt. They wanted to see family and friends here in Vermont so they put together a New England tour. Johanna Rose is a cousin of the Holter kids and you will see the amazing talent runs in the family. Dinner offered starting at 6pm and music to follow. Holter kids to open with a few songs :)
